basic responsibility

  we need to know what are the typical duties and activities of a Planner? So, from employer to employer the job description of a Planner will be different, however typical duties and activities undertaken are include the same things which is create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans. Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development. Keep the client team up to date on progress to present to the client. Present information for internal meetings on the project. Problem solving. Produce tender plans to support bids. So, in our text book there only 5 basic responsibilities of a planner:

•  launch or realized orders to purchasing or manufacturing.
•  reschedule due dates of open orders as required. 
•  recognized errors and try to find their cause. 
•  solving critical material shortages by expediting or re-planning. 
• And last but not least is coordinate with other planners, master production schedulers, production activity control and purchasing to resolve problems. 

So that what was in our text book. It may be sound like the different things but it actually same.
